1 : 긍정 명령문의 화법전환
She said to him, “Come and see me tomorrow.”
->She told him to come and see her the next day.
(그녀는 그에게 그 다음날 자신을 보러 오라고 했다.)
전달동사 say (to)는 tell로 바꾼다 : said to → told, ask
인용부호를 없애고 동사원형을 to 부정사로 바꾼다 : come → to come
피전달문의 인칭 대명사를 전달자의 입장에 맞게 바꾼다 : me → her
시간이나 장소의 부사(구)를 적당히 바꾼다 : tomorrow → the next day
He said to his son, “Be quiet.”
-> He told his son to be quiet. (그는 그의 아들에게 조용히 하라고 말했다.)
She said to me, “Call me tomorrow.” -> She told me to call her the next day. (그녀는 나에게 다음날 자신에게 전화하라고 말했다.)
He said to Miss Jones, “Please help me.”
-> He asked Miss Jones to help him. (그는 존즈 양에게 도와 달라고 부탁했다.)
She said to me, “Please get me some juice.”
-> She asked me to get her some juice. (그녀는 나에게 주스 좀 가져다 달라고 부탁했다.)
Point 2 : 부정 명령문의 화법전환
He said to me, “Don’t be afraid of it.”
-> He told me not to be afraid of it. (그는 내게 그것을 두려워하지 말라고 했다.)
전달동사 say (to)는 tell로 바꾼다 : said to → told
인용부호를 없애고「Don’t+동사원형」을「not+to 부정사」로 바꾼다 : don’t be → not to be
피전달문의 인칭 대명사를 전달자의 입장에 맞게 바꾼다 :
시간이나 장소의 부사(구)를 적당히 바꾼다 :
She said to the children, “Don’t run so fast.”
-> She told the children not to run so fast. (그녀는 아이들에게 그렇게 빨리 뛰지 말라고 말했다.)
Father said to me, “Don’t go out after dark.”
-> Father told me not to go out after dark. (아버지께서는 나에게 어두워진 후에는 밖에 나가지 말라고 말씀하셨다.)
